Welcome to the
Health Systems Collective

How can we design systems of health care that improve health outcomes?

The goal of the UW Department of Medicine Health Systems Collective is to connect and amplify people and groups working to answer this question. It does so by supporting design & evaluation, dissemination, and proposals on health systems-related topics.

The Collective also seeks to highlight people and groups, locally and beyond, that are doing work to change health systems in ways that improve equity and outcomes.

What We Support

Health Equity Conversations

People and groups around the country are working to improve health equity through systems change. Health Equity Conversations is a series featuring this work.

Dissemination

Insights and innovations should be disseminated effectively in order to share best practices to catalyze change.

The Collective supports dissemination of health systems-related insights.

Proposals

Investment is often needed to test or evaluate health systems programs and innovations.

The Collective supports efforts to submit funding proposals for health systems-related work.

Design & Evaluation

Suboptimal design can undercut otherwise promising solutions. It is also difficult to improve systems without evaluating what works, and what doesn't.

The Collective supports design and evaluation in several ways.

UW Department of Medicine Collective Conversations

Both within and beyond the Department of Medicine, people and groups are working to improve health through systems of financing, organizing, teaming, and delivering care. Collective Conversations is a series featuring this work.
